"The resort is at a beautiful spot in Tuscany. The views are spectacular. The in-house restaurant is simply fantastic. We had dinner each night we stayed (3), and were seriously impressed by all 3 meals. The breakfast is very good as well. The olive oil made on the property is one of the best we’ve tasted. We ended up buying a liter. I also had a very relaxing massage and facial, that I highly recommend. The villa is 800 years old (!!), so it’s not your typical ‘luxury’ resort. But the quirks...

"A beautiful property. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Great value for money and would recommend. It was a shame the bar wasn’t open earlier and it would have been nice to have a coffee during the day, maybe reception staff could have done this? A little far out from the centre but of you are happy to walk 40 mins or so not a problem. Bus was also available but couldn’t work out how to pay for that without paying double on the bus!"

"A beautiful hotel located approx 25 min walk from ponte vechio bridge. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Dogs are welcome. Breakfast was continental with plenty of choice. Pool area clean. 2 shaded areas about 6 sun beds were out when we were there plus deckchair type seats. You are given a towel to use by the pool on arrival. "The location of the property was great (close to Michelangelo Piazzala and reasonable walk to other main attractions) and the customer service was excellent. I had a single room that was basic dorm style room with private bath (but did not look like the online picture, which I think was a double room picture not single room); I think a large person would struggle moving around in the shower but it was fine for me. Room was clean. There's an elevator to take you up to the lobby if you don't like...

"This is the place to stay while you are in Florence Italy. Located right next to the famous Pontevecchio bridge. The staff accommodate you with whatever you need from transportation to suggestions for restaurants. There are so many choices for breakfast, kept us full most of the day."

"Wonderful stay at Hotel Balestri in Florence. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Breakfast was incredible every morning—fresh juices, perfectly scrambled eggs, spectacular bacon, and great yogurts. The bar was fantastic too; the bartender mixed excellent cocktails. Rooms are on the smaller side, which is expected in a building from the 1860s, but that’s a minor note. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of everything. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is perfectly located and beautifully decorated in a classic, maximalist style. Just steps from the Ponte vecchio, the windows open for a beautiful view of the Arno. Air conditioned rooms and comfortable beds, and a very helpful and kind front desk. The breakfast is sunny and elegant and the rooftop restaurant is excellent with amazing views. I traveled with a group of 6 (3 double rooms) including 4 very discerning young adults, and we all agreed that this was one of our favorite places...
