The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of the city centre, making it easy to explore everything the city has to offer. "Room was extremely hot, unable to speak it must of been well over 30deg. Tiny fan provided. Awful smell around reception / bar area. Drink prices we exceptionally high. £9.50 for a can of Guinness, plus a service charge!! Would not stay again which is a shame as the building itself is lovely."

"Stayed here for one night and we weren’t disappointed. We stayed in a superior double room which was a lovely large room, extremely comfortable, very clean, and had a lovely view. The room didn’t have air conditioning so got very warm due to the recent heatwave but there was a fan so it was ok and was beyond the hotel’s control. It was a very short walk to the theatre and the centre which was very convenient. Breakfast was lovely, the restaurant staff were so friendly and efficient which was also the case for the reception staff. Free parking at the hotel which is always a bonus. Overall a lovely traditional hotel which we would most definitely recommend."

"Good point - very good location, very nice breakfast and a comfortable room with a bed enough for 3-4 people. Minus - they don't have their own parking, but you can park near the public parking at Gatecross for £6 24 hours using the hotel discount. If you are travelling with a disabled person, there is disabled car parking at the hotel where you can park your car as long as you have a blue badge. They never told us that there is a disabled car park in front of the hotel - we came to know only after two or three days. Overall, we had a good stay, but it could have been excellent if we had known there was accessible parking for disabled guests at the hotel."

"I had stayed at this hotel before. This time the beginning off the stay wasnt what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. I asked to move to another room as the one that was given to me had an air conditioning issue. It seemed to me that the staff were unwilling to help adventually I was moved to a better room. Its just unfortunate that the issue i had happened. The breakfast was nice."

Croft Hotel

"The Croft Hotel is in a very quiet location but a short bus journey or drive from the city centre and ideally located for the De Montfort Hall. Our room was spacious, with good natural light by day and electric lighting by night. It was a large room which was very clean and comfortable with ample storage for belongings and plenty of power sockets and windows that you can open! Our bed was extremely clean and comfortable and the shower was easy to regulate. The hotel has a bar and a TV room. The staff were as friendly and helpful as they could possibly have been, making sure that we were comfortable and giving advice as needed. It was a great place to stay and I'd not hesitate to return there should I ever return to Leicester. I do have one suggestion for the owner and that is to consider replacing the curtains in the ground floor room we stayed in. Currently, the curtains don't quite cover the windows, which didn't bother us but might be a problem for future guests."
