"We really enjoyed our room on third floor with a spa tub and the views of lake Superior, however, the bath towel rack fell down and the curtain rod completely fell down and took the curtains with it twice due to them being cheap. The hotel is certainly dated. I had an issue with Expedia and had to contact them because a fire pit was specified and it turns out there's a fire pit a few blocks away, The staff had no idea what they were talking about when I confronted them about this issue otherwise great location. Nice pool area breakfast with horrible. We bought our own"

"We stayed at the Shoreliner many years ago. It was wonderful to see how well maintained it was. A lovely location on Lake Superior, with a large deck over looking the Lake. Very restful and peaceful. You will love it."

"We had a great stay, for a long weekend in Grand Marais. The location is perfect for walking to everything in town, and to the harbor, and the view from the deck is great. Would stay here again, and maybe try a few of the other places they rent, they are really nice."

"There really was not anything that I did not like about the property. It was as described. It is very cozy and comfortable. I was traveling solo, and I felt safe there and really enjoyed staying in as a part of my vacation experience. I spent a lot of time in the sunroom-- I just loved watching the butterflies and birds coming and going through the yard. The back porch was cute and I like sitting back there to hear music from the rooftop bar a couple of blocks away. I was within walking distance of everything, restaurants, shopping, the harbor. I definitely want to come back again."
