My partner and I needed a quick getaway and this place was perfect for that. We enjoyed using the fire pit, grill, chess set, and jacuzzi tub! Also lots of interesting art, crystals and antiques. The host also included a bag of candy and popcorn for Halloween , very kind and thoughtful . Fun and unique place !
Cozy basement apartment- loaded with books and eclectic art. Conveniently located, quiet and peaceful.
Only issues were the shower set-up is a little weird, and never really got full hot. Driveway /parking is not low-car friendly…other than that, a very peaceful and pleasant stay. Owner was super accommodating and very nice.

Not bad
It says quite, but both nights we were there we could hear the host (i believe ) stomping around. Also tv above living room was loud . This was after 11 pm And before. When i went to put stuff in the freezer, there was a bunch of stuff in it and stuff was in the refrigerator too. The place was kinda dirty also. Found hair tie, dirt and other stuff on shelving in the jacuzzi tb room . The are also a lot og cobwebs as you come into the entry door to the right and other places. It would've been nice to be someway of controlling the temperature down there too. It was hot during the day and kinda chilly at night. I would bot book if you have any kind of handy cap because the tolit in bathroom would be a problem. It is very low sitting and is hard to get up and down to. I will say it was nice with the art and how they was tring to make it.and it was in a good place.
The property had all items needed. You can only fill the tub half full before the hot water turns cold (hot water tank is not big enough). You cannot control your own heat/air, you have to contact property manager to control it for you. We enjoyed our time here and would rent again.
I was really happy with my time there. The place is welcoming while also giving you privacy. It's minutes from Lake Junaluska and Waynesville if you want variety, but also gives you plenty of space if you want to stay in. Kitchen is easy to navigate. All the floors are tile, so I recommend packing socks or slippers if your feet are prone to getting chilly. (And if you forget to pack entertainment, there's bookshelves everywhere!)

I was unaware that the location would be a basement of a residential home. I wish that would have included in the listing or at least in the pictures. Other than that, it was quiet and neat.
We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The babbling brook was very peaceful and everything inside was accommodating and very clean. The owner was on top of any need we had and quick to respond with any questions. We plan on staying again with more visits we have there.
Our stay was satisfactory, but it's crucial to note that the space is a basement in a residential house. The water emitted a sulfur smell, the television was compact, and the bedroom was stuffy, but we were able to open a window as it was chilly outside. It was dark when we arrived. Tried contacting someone for exact location but never got a response
When I booked this place it said a cabin then when I got the passcode for the door it said an apartment. We stayed about 2 hours and I booked another hotel up the road. Will not stay there again. Try to use the hot water and it smelled like sulfur, there was bugs and old condiments in the fridge and food in the freezer. The bathroom has a window with no curtain and the couch also smelled musty. It would be nice to get a refund or partial refund back from this booking.

Quiet property, the host is connected and communicated promptly thoughout the check in process. The antiques and interior of the property is worth mentioning. Highly recommended
It’s a very neat atmosphere with a lot of cool antiques. Kitchen was conveniently stocked with a lot of kitchen tools and great brand of teas and coffee to choose from. We didn’t get to see it much in the light because of the weather upon our arrival the host was very accommodating in adjusting the thermostat for us upon request. I did come across a respiratory allergy with the scent of musty books and mildew smell and the host provided diffusers to help. I was able to remedy with my own Essentials oils to purify the air. The host might consider diffusing lemongrass in the future.
We only had 2 washclothes and I sent a message with no response. Also I have lost a bracelet and wonder if I left it there. It is an Easter bracelet with lots of pastel colors and a cross charm..

The parking was not for senior citizens. To much slope and then had to walk uphill to enter the house. The jacuzzi we use on time about 15 minutes then the water drained out.The Hot water heater is not large enough it runs out of hot water just above the water spouts on the side of tub.I feel the ad was not explaining the steep parking and uphill walk and tub problems.
Let me tell you what Vrbo hides it’s under a double wide trailer and in a nasty area Good about the place: Nothing Bad about the place:1. You don’t control the heat or air2. Not motorcycle or old people friendly 3. Shower is in the jacuzzi tub accident waiting to happen 4. Bed is wore slam out5. Bad water smells like rotten eggs/iron 6. Book says quite time 10pm guess what the people above you are very loud at 11 and midnight7. Smells like heavy weed 8. Low ceilings I’m 6ft and the fan could take my head off. 9. Area is nasty and dirty 10. People came in the house while we were gone to eat I have proof. In all the years of traveling I have never left a bad review or just felt disgusted this place is it I’d avoid it at all cost

It was a horrible experience. Its in a basement with 6 foot ceilings and is dark. The water smells horrible and the tub is to big for the water heater it runs out ½ way through. 0/10 would not recommend
