"Arrived very late. Reception / bar area, very modern fresh and clean. The guy who checked us in very pleasant. Didn’t really notice room till the morning. Well how can I say it outdated, very much in need of a deep clean and modernisation. Deceptive as reception and breakfast room very modern. Breakfast was superb, staff very attentive, always checking product levels, tidying and cleaning very efficient. Will be back when hopefully rooms modernised."

I discovered that the restaurant prices were excessive, £23 for fish and chips, £37 for an 8oz RUMP steak! A five minute drive took me to the Badger Box, extensive menu, great prices, £13 8oz Sirloin Steak, happy days. "

"We had a superior room no glasses at all no bottled water no bin liners only two tea bags on complementary tray, bar was fine, breakfast was a mess not tided up & v salty restaurant staff uncommunicative as was the check out receptionist we would not choose to stay here again."

"We had a king sized room on the second floor. Comfortable bed. Amazing views of the lake plus it was lovely to have a balcony with outside seating. It was easy to control the heating. Good self service breakfast."
