"Rooms were nice. Location for visiting Lukenbach or the wineries was excellent. If you are tall, you have to be careful on the stairs as it has very low ceiling."

"Rose Hill Retreat is an absolutely beautiful location with great staff and lovely rooms. We stayed in the Sunrise room in the main building which has its own separate sun room with day bed and balcony. The view is stunning and sitting on the balcony drinking local wine and enjoying a charcuterie board and watching the sun set was amazing. Likewise, sitting outside drink a coffee and listening to the birds in the morning was a great way to starrt the day. The breakfast from the chef in the morning was great as well. Pedernales winery is a 2 minute walk from the building and central Fredericksburg is less than a 10 minute drive. We loved our stay here and met some lovely people and I can highly recommend Rose Hill. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Outdoorsy. The yurts are definitely "outdoorsy". You are in nature and it is quiet and private. We had interesting weather during our stay with several thunderstorms. It was noisy in the yurt but we always felt safe. The yurt was comfortable, clean, and roomy. We were traveling with our dog and it was great for him but not if your dog tends to take off when not on a leash. The property is a short drive to many wineries and activities in the area. Having said that, if you are not comfortable in the outdoors, this will not be the place for you. The last half mile is gravel road. Parking is away from the yurts. I highly recommend renting a golf cart to get around the property. We had cooler weather during our stay but it will get warm in the yurt during hot weather. The AC will not be able to keep up. Overall, we loved the place and would stay again, just not during hot weather."

Wonderful Visit!

"My husband and I did a little motorcycle trip and had a wonderful time here! The location is about halfway between Johnson City and Fredericksburg, so we were able to check out the vintage motorcycle museum and a few fun vineyards during our stay. Place was spotless and the AC worked well. The little kitchen was enough for us to make pancakes and coffee in the morning, and the patio was a great spot for lounging in the hot tub and roasting smores at night. Owners were super kind and responsive as well. 10/10, would absolutely book again. "

Perfect Hill Country Getaway!

"We loved our stay at the Martinsburg! The location is perfect, situated between some of the best wineries/distilleries in the area. The property and beautiful and showcases Texas’ beauty. The cabin was immaculate and had everything we needed. We appreciated all the small touches, like the bag of dog treats for our fur babies!"

"The property had a unique vibe, loved the updated nod to the retro past feeling of the place. The kitchenette/dining area could have been alottle better equipped, i.e. a larger trashcan and simple supplies like paper towels etc. Overall we enjoyed our stay it was nice quiet place to relax at the end of the day."
