"A wonderful hotel in a quiet, picturesque town. Excellently located for walks in the hills, just a couple minutes walk to the tram station and plenty of shops/cafés nearby.
The room was clean and spacious with coffee machine and fridge.
Staff were lovely and very helpful with organising guest pass and explaining how to access the hotel after hours.
I would definitely stay here again should I return to Basel."

"No Air conditioning it would be very uncomfortable if temps outside exceeded 85 degrees. However the breakfast bar was superb there is a walkway bridge to this quaint town in France a shopping mall a park on the Rhine the tram into Basel all within walking steps from the hotel."
"After many hours on the road, we finally arrived at the "Carathotel Basel/Weil am Rhein" and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and our room was absolutely perfect. We were given a huge, comfortable bed, and everything was clean and well-prepared.
We truly can’t fault a single thing and would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant stay.

"Zum 1x Übernachten super und preiswert! Betten waren bequem und Dusche angenehm. Parking war for free.
Nur unverschämt war eine 0.5L Flasche Wasser für 4.60 CHF! Wir hätten 1L für fast 10 CHF kaufen müssen! Sind dann zur Tankstelle ums Eck und haben für 2L 3 CHF gezahlt.

The room and bathroom were spotless
We booked a table at the restaurant, just as well as it was fully booked.
Service and food were excellent.
I will definitely be back as we do this trip 2/3 times a year and I’m always on the lookout for a good overnight stay."
"Je ne comprends pas les commentaires ultra négatifs… l’hôtel est bien placé, le lobby est cosy et on peut même y prendre un café. Il y a aussi une petite cour intérieure avec tables et chaises. La chambre est simple mais efficace. Ça a été un set up parfait pour aller au stade"

+ friendly staff
+ very close to supermarkets and restaurant
+ comfortable bed and pillows
+ mini bar (empty), coffee machine and kettle in the room
+ good quality of breakfast (4 types of bread, meats, cheese, yoghurt, cereals, hard boiled eggs)
+ quiet neighbourhood
I have two small concerns:
- Sound isolation between rooms is not perfect, I could clearly hear the TV from the neighbour room.
- Mini bar is plugged to a normal socket, so it switches off when...
"Ich war beruflich unterwegs und habe mich in diesem Hotel rundum wohlgefühlt. Das moderne, stilvolle Ambiente hat mich sofort begeistert. Ästhetisch, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und dennoch angenehm zurückhaltend. Alles war makellos sauber, durchdacht gestaltet und strahlte eine besondere Ruhe aus.
Ein großes Lob geht auch an das gesamte Team: Alle Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter waren außergewöhnlich freundlich, herzlich und zuvorkommend, man fühlt sich hier nicht einfach als Gast, sondern...
"We have pleased our accomodation in general. Hotel has a beautiful design which suits it's name. Quite comfortable rooms, very helpful and polite staff. Thanks to receptionist who made our check in 10 July night shift and helped us about broken coffee machine. Hotel says they give travel card for public transport and provide free access to swimming pool in Olten. (We didn't use them no comment about it)
Negatives: Breakfast is not diverse enough. Coffee machines needs maintenance and cleaning....
