"The Ferry Inn is a combination hotel/pub with breakfast included on our booking. We ate dinner both nights in the pub restaurant. The food was good & they had several choices for each course. The location was excellent for the Scrabaster/Stromness ferry & it was easy to navigate to Kirkwall & all the sights."

Breakfast was excellent each morning cooked to order and evening meals were fantastic especially the fish and chips and homemade tartar sauce was so yummy.. The rooms are clean with lovely bedding and fantastic views of the beautiful island.. Can't wait to go back.. "

Add to that an ideal location which is right next to the ferry port (first house on the left when leaving the ferry terminal) and just opposite the post office/local store right at the heart of the village. There is also plenty of parking outside / nearby and is nice and easy to get to all of the mainland both by car and bus (stop is just outside). Would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Shona."
"This place is a dream! It has a large and beautiful library that guests are welcome to use. The breakfast is delicious and provides variety of your choice. The accommodations are not only beautiful, but also very spacious. There are 2 windows in the bedroom that we could open to let in a cool breeze. The bathroom is incredible. The history of the home is truly amazing as well. The host, John, was very helpful. I can't recommend this enough. We didn't want to leave. "
