"Be careful to choose smoking room or non-smoking room. Non smoking floors are filled with smell, if you don’t choose non-smoking room they will automatically put you into smoking room. For its price it is good enough. "
"Everything was good and felt very nice but just one thing i felt uncomfortable was that there was no shower in the room. So guests need to go public spa when they want to take a small shower. …"
"Great ryokan with lovely onsen. Water was very hot but relaxing. Half board banquet style meals were a lot of fun along with wearying the traditional Japanese clothing. Lots of selection and different kinds which was nice. Room was huge and the outdoor tub was lovely. Recommended for sure. "
"It was as if taking a step back in time.
Drifting off to sleep in a dark room with the snow falling through the positioned sliding windows as to not see any of the surrounding modern day buildings, was a marvellous experience that I shall treasure forever.
Great amenities, a karoke room, natural onsens, a library and not to mention both a wonderful supper and breakfast, not to mention buffet style.
My only regret is not booking another night!

"We had an amazing time and used this as two days of relaxing in the middle of our 1.5 minth trip. It was our first time at an onsen (we are Canadian) and it was a great introduction as there was both private and public onsens. "Hotel and room good, has everything need, close to the station. The only thing was hard pillows and need to get a different pillow from reception. There only a few pillows so not enough for all rooms. Better to have a softer pillow in room anyway."
"A comfortable, clean business hotel with the added advantage of an onsen on the ground floor. Conveniently located in the traditional area of Yamagata on a bus route from the station. Breakfast in the top floor restaurant was buffet style."
"I arrived late at night, but the whole staff welcomed me sincerely, the room was simple and clean, breakfast was complimentary, so I don't have any complains. Someone plays music at the east side of the hotel, you can hear it when you open the window. "
