"It's fine. Cheap place to stay. The noise is the biggest issue. There were dogs barking in reception one morning and no attempt from anyone to quiet them down. On the last night there was someone in a room practicing opera from 10pm til gone midnight. Think they need to remind guests and staff this is a hotel and people are trying to sleep. But as I say it's clean, cheap and staff were friendly."

"The Woodhouse hotel was our base for attending the Bruce Springsteen concert in Monza, which is just a bus and train ride away. "The hotel itself was great. It had a retro feel which we loved and the staff were lovely. However, it seemed we couldn’t leave and re-enter after 10pm as we didn’t get a key to the main door. It also felt quite unsafe outside as there were many men hanging around trying to talk to you as you looked for the entrance. The entrance is quite concealed, so would be useful to be given instructions on how to find it. "

My Satnav found the right address but after driving round a one-way system several times, I had to leave my car in a nearby carpark then go looking on foot. My room was clean and spacious with a balcony and separate bathroom and toilet. I'd asked for breakfast at 8am as I had a long drive ahead of me. I was about to leave without breakfast when someone arrived a little after 8am to open up. It was hardly worth hanging around...

"Quirky little place. No curtains in any of the rooms we saw, just a heavy lace. Your door was either deadlocked or open, no snib lock, turn your hot water on 10 minutes before your shower or it will be cold, very little storage space and small bathroom. Breakfast tables were cramped for room, selection ok but no room to put your plate down anywhere to put anything on it. Size of the room and the bed were good. Location close to where the bus from Como stops so really, the place is ok just a few...
