"Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my stay.
The room was not properly cleaned when we arrived. The floors had not been swept, the toilet and bathtub were dirty, and there were male hairs throughout the bathroom. I specifically paid for an upgrade that included a jetted tub, but the jets did not work, and the tub itself was not clean.
The floors also appeared to have significant water damage and were visibly waterlogged. The walls and paint were in poor condition, and the overall room...
"Room service wasn’t great, got room service one day and came back to the hotel in the evening with the room door opened. After that never had room service again. The room service was a joke. All the staff did was put in new towels, never cleaned anything or made the bed."
"The property itself is great - good breakfast options - washer and Dryer were clean and in good shape - front desk was fine - rooms need upgrading - they stunk - old smoke smell - we asked to be moved - different floor - same smell - we wouldn’t stay again till rooms renovated"
"We stayed in the Kingfisher room. Very clean, renovated room. Great sized room with microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge. Comfy king size bed. Great to park right outside the room. Beautiful view of the water. Super friendly staff. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again."
"Our visit started with a very rude and unwelcoming man in the office. He offered no words of greeting or welcome just asked how I wanted to pay. The property is run down and the restaurant which is non defunct sits there in a state of disrepair. The room was very dated and the carpet in the main room was filthy and had not been vacuumed.
In spite of a decent location with views of the ocean this resort is depressing and not worth the dollars it cost to stay there.

"The first night was not as expected. The two rooms next to us had men staying who appeared to be locals. One was smoking in this door way(smoking is not allowed in the room) . And the other was smoking pot outside his room. This concerned us on the first night..they checked out the next morning then we were able to enjoy our stay more. The view is nice facing the water. Its an older place but had everything we needed ."
"We enjoyed the location, although there is no food except the lobster house next door which only has breakfast in the summer months. We stayed 2 nights and drove 20 minutes into Baddeck for breakfast each day. The motel is dated and furnishings are well worn, but everything you need is in room.It was lovely to sit outside on the edge of water. The owner is very hospitable."
