It was awesome to stay in such a unique place and it was SOOOO much better than I could have hoped for. The kitchen was great, and the hot tub was such a treat

The room was pristine, area is quiet and isolated. Great value for a spacious room. Only issue were the gnats, which can be a problem all over Iceland, just need bug spray outside.

Excellent location if you like a remote area with a nice view. Closure to a few attractions such as falls and glacier tour.

Wonderful and comfortable.

My boy loved the facility! Special and unique hotel for kids :) Before I went there I afraid of the check-in, but the host welcomed us kindly.

Great location, felt safe, a little snug for two people (mainly if you have big luggage) but definitely manageable. We would definitely stay again!

The apartment has some great highlights, but instructions on parking process needs improvement. On the positive side, check in process is a breeze and the location is excellent with a supermarket just a two-minute walk away. On their website, the instructions for operating the appliances and equipment are incredibly clear and helpful. However, navigating the parking situation was highly frustrating. The instructions provided were very confusing, and the communication regarding this issue...

Absolutely charming guesthouse. Location is excellent for just walking to the charming townof Reykjavík. No complaints! Wonderful place!

We did not interact with any staff in person, although they were available via messaging. We received a door code that worked for both the main door and our room door via email day of arrival. There was a small common area and well stocked kitchen with fridge and pantry space area for communal hanging out, as well as seating outside. Our room was serviceable for a family of four people. There is a small deck set up with drying racks for clothes or swimwear. The shared bathrooms were generally...

Clean and close to downtown. Coffee and chocolates in the room. Bed was not the most comfortable but a great place and easy check in

Very nice hostel, multiple bathrooms and showers. Great location Each floor has its own kitchen - very convenient Very clean and linen were cozy! Downsides : parking is extremely difficult and no towels for ppl in dorms

I LOVED IT HERE! I am a single woman who travels alone, and my safety drives my decisions when I travel. Initially I regretted staying away from the city center, but after I figured out the logical bus system, I was grateful for being in a quiet area. My room was austere and clean. The kitchen was adequate. One thing I encourage the owners to invest in: a dresser or a shelf for guests to put their clothes. Four hangers is inadequate. Also, at least one table by the bed would be good for...

Our group of 4 really enjoyed our stay at the Aurora Guesthouse. It had nice clean rooms and comfortable warm beds with big fluffy comforters. We loved the breakfast each morning with homemade bread and spreads and cheese and ham and fruit juice and coffee and milk and cereal. We enjoyed meeting other guests from around the world. We liked being able to walk to restaurants and shopping and were just steps away from the Hallgrimskirkja cathedral and the Sundhollin pool. The staff were very...

Clean

Fantastic friendly staff and wonderful breakfast.

Cheap and best

Staff responded to all our unusual requests and was very helpful. Convenient to downtown, Flybus stop right across the street. Sure it is a one-star guesthouse, but for what we needed, it had it, for a reasonable price.
