"The SCP Seven4One is a small boutique hotel with a great location and very friendly staff! However not sure where the 4 stars and the higher price point come in. The hotel does not have a lobby and the partner hotel seems to be undergoing major renovations. Having to pay a resort fee on top of taxes and fees seemed excessive. "

"I lived in south laguna for several years. This hotel is now our favorite hotel replacing Surf &Sand.."

"The view was from the room was absolutely amazing and you are walking distance to all the cool restaurants and shops. That made it all worth it. We had a great time. That said, the air conditioning and wi-fi don't work, they know they don't work, and they don't seem to care that they don't work. Luckily, neither really affected the trip for us too much, but you should be aware. But with the poor cell coverage, best this be an unplugged trip. "

"We stayed only for a night but it was so pleasant that we would love to come back. Our studio suite was across from the beach park and we had a lovely view of the ocean and Laguna on the other side of the bay. We took a morning walk along the cliff walkway and walked through downtown Laguna. Our room had a Murphy bed, a kitchenette, and ceiling fans, which I really appreciated. It was decorated nicely and everything was in good condition. "
