"The staff gave us the worst room possible. TV and bathroom vent dont work. The bed is is definitely a full size bed and they advertised it as “spanish queen”. The doors are dirty and the windows dont even close. I was supposed to get an ocean view and instead I got a view of the alley behind the hotel. I went to the lobby to fix this and he said “sorry the hotel is the one that is ocean view, not the room. It will be $200 more if you want an upgrade”. Super deceitful in their advertising and unaccommodating. "

"I guess I have been going to hotels that are not "vintage" properties. Cute little motel that is close to the ocean and on the main "drag" of Laguna Beach. Very quiet and free coffee, tea and chocolate chip cookies in the lobby. If you are traveling to Laguna on a budget, this is an option. Ocean view only because the house behind the hotel had been torn down and was under construction. Comfortable bed, and free (I think) parking in front. Desk person is a bit lackluster and could use some hospitably schooling in greeting and speaking to the guests. Personally, I would not return as the level of the hotel was to up to what i am used to but the price was right (not sure if $200 a night is right but perhaps that is the going rate). But, if you don't require a more posh, three star plus environment than this could be a place to try. Location. Location. Location. "

"Beautiful view of the ocean and shoreline from the room. At high tide, the waves crash right up against the property. The view of the ocean from inside the room makes you feel like you are on a cruise. Great access to the beach. Bachir welcomed us when we arrived and gave us the ideal room. He was very friendly and warm. He made us feel well taken care of."

"The place is super cute and really comfortable! The two things that need to be fixed are. 1. The musty smell. It’s super moist inside, and while I don’t think it’s mold. Our clothes smell and everything smells musty from being inside. 2. The shades they have aren’t a 100% privacy. So at night, with lights on, you can see inside. Even the bedroom. If those two things were fixed, I’d only ever go there. The property is secluded and a 2 min walk to the beach. 15 min (if you walk slow) to downtown. "
