"We went for a mini-break over the late May bank holiday weekend, and The George made the stay. An incredibly comfortable room and well appointed room. We loved the small collection of vintage books. Great breakfast. Welcoming staff. We are looking forward to another stay. Highly recommended."

"Great selection of breakfast and friendly staff. Only issue was that my rooms air conditioning blown warm air out when set to cold and the paint on the walls needs addressing as it is all chipped. Staff did provide a fan, as the room was 25 degrees at one point."

"This was an amazing value stay. Greeted by friendly staff and check in and out was quick and easy. The room and bathroom were spotless. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Lovely and quiet. The Bumble Bee pub next door was perfect for an evening drink. Breakfast was busy and still all the food was plentiful and fresh. Cannot fault our stay."

"This hotel is right on the M4 junction and yet is quiet. You get exactly what you expect, breakfast is a reasonable choice of the usual things, can take away a coffee etc if travelling on. I stayed four nights and was very happy with the hotel."

"Property is historic and comes with a lot of interesting stories (Lady Jane Grey proclaimed Queen at this location). It's a listed building which is also an interesting feature. Furnishing / decoration could do with an update. Great wine bar at the back of the property but not open at the time of my visit. Staff were very friendly and provided great service."

"Great stay- a lovely comfortable room in the annexe. Dog friendly, with bowls and bed provided. We ate breakfast in the dog friendly room which was very pleasant , and food was great. Would thoroughly recommend. "

Bacon cooked crispy but luke warm sat on the side.sausages cold beans cold eggs greasy fried and cold mushrooms cold. Hash brown cold fresh toms grilled but cold. £12.50 if i was in a mellow mood should of asked for money back. "
