"Overall our stay was pretty good but there is no air conditioning in the buildings so it was hard to sleep. We opened the windows which made it a bit easier to sleep. The other thing is they don’t have irons to press your clothes available. They make you pay for the pressing service. That was a disappointment as usually when you travel clothes get wrinkle. Another thing I want to mention is that they don’t provide shampoo or conditioner. Other than that it’s a pretty decent hotel to stay. "

"Location is good and from our balcony on 3rd floor we can see the Matterhorn. The property also serves a good breakfast. The bus stop is just across the street from the hotel."

"Hotel Tannenhof was excellent on all levels. Staff incredibly friendly and informative, responsive to requests, food at the hotel was incredible and very cool (Don't miss it!), rooms are comfortable, enough room, beds very comfortable and the hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Zermatt, steps away from shops, view of the Matterhorn and easily accessible from the train, and the per night price is reasonable."

"Was there during the April 2025 snowstorm when Zermatt lost power for a couple days. They provided breakfast for guests at the partner Alpen Resort Hotel and Spa down the street also for the guests at the Patricia apartments. When we went to Alpen to inquire about staying an extra night at Patricia due to not being able to leave Zermatt, they couldn’t provide us a price, but welcomed us to stay and make ourselves comfortable in the common areas of the Alpen. "We stayed at Porta Cervino as a replacement by the Matterhorn Inn Management for the dates we booked in Feb 2025, Porta Cervino is an excellent hotel, great experience overall though I would have preferred to stay in Zermatt over Tasch, will do that next time I plan to ski in the area!"
