"Hotel is nice my only negative is that they don’t except cash anywhere in the hotel not at checkout not in restaurant and not even in the bar. We had a family room on the top floor which was big bright & spacious shower was very good plenty hot water. We had bottles of water biscuits tea coffee milk kettle ironing board. Couldn’t fault our room. Breakfast was excellent lots of cereals yogurts fresh fruits etc plus the usual bacon eggs sausage etc."

"Lovely place to stay if you have a vehicle but it is a bit far to get into downtown Alnwick and the Castle and Gardens. It is about a 30 minute walk. Uber and cabs are dicey at best. We took the bus, but it only runs hourly. Restaurant was great with a good breakfast that was included. Rooms are nice, but no fridge. The staff we interacted with were very friendly."

"Alnwick Lodge is next to A1 so careful access is needed. The breakfast provided was good. You could not walk anywhere from the accommodation but Alnwick town and attractions were excellent. the owners of the property were very attentive and friendly. the rooms were very clean and the showers were always hot. "Staff were really friendly but there was no property owned parking so had to park across the road in a public car park. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality linen. We were given a special access room on the ground floor but we were looking forward to a bath in the room which is what I thought we had booked but not a major issue but if you are booking you may want to make them aware if you want a bath rather than wet room. "
