"The breakfast was very disappointing. We were only offered the menu of cooked dishes. I had to ask for cereal which consisted of a small packet of cornflakes. There was no breakfast bar which one normally finds in hotels with a selection of fresh fruit, marmalade, jams etc. For this reason, I would not choose this pub again. This is a shame as we enjoyed our dinner and the room and facilities were fine."

I've stayed here a couple of times before and I know what to expect. My main gripe on this occasion was how an overnight fire alarm was dealt with. We all traipsed downstairs when the alarm went off, the member of staff on duty told us it was ok, we could all go back to bed but the alarm might go off again. He explained that there was someone live streaming themself "messing around with fire" in their room. Security were in the process of tracking them down and chucking them out. I have no idea what kind of "messing around with fire" we're talking about here, but to me that is not a circumstance in which guests should be sent back to bed and encouraged to ignore the alarm."
