"We arrived and the host showed our room ,on the small side , duvet very warm ! Only noise we heard were from other guests rooms , doors banging and noisy fans . Pub very quiet , we were only patrons in the bar ! Friendly owner , breakfast adequate , stayed here as we were exploring other towns nearby , good parking spaces "

"Great lodging! A very short walk from the train station, and yet very quiet. Smelled fresh, very clean. Our 1 bedroom was terrific. Full kitchen, living space with couch and tall desk table. Bathroom tiny but worked for us…and so clean! Bed was comfy. Front desk person was kind and welcoming. This place was ideal for a one night stay AND would be terrific as a base for several nights while exploring the area. Easy train to Southampton, and also to Bath. Busses that go to Stonehenge. Walking...

"Very nice hotel - extremely attentive staff. Lots of character. Very comfortable bed. Big bathroom with efficient shower. Because it's an old building, it is a bit shabby in places, but this is in character and doesn't affect one's enjoyment. Food was good - great central location with parking."
