The shower was weak and the sink occasional had a strong drain smell but this is the only negative. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and regularly replenished. "The hotel is in attractive grounds and the bar food and breakfast were both excellent. Friendly staff. About 20 minutes walk into Pontefract. Plenty of buses too. We stayed on a Friday night and there was a wedding and a dinner dance at the hotel. Our bedroom was directly above the room used for the dinner dance. This made it a bit noisy, which could be a problem for some guests or if they had a noisier entertainer."
