Pillbox, River Thames and snow The Pillbox on the far bank dates from the second world war and was intended to repel invaders. Close up they're not very attractive but they seem to have survived because of their historic interest. "I asked for a small room and that is what it was. It would be great for an Oxford student visiting or a seasoned traveler more concerned with the schedule and not the room. Great room for the price, clean and easy. They have bigger rooms and I have not seen them. I was pleased with what I got."
