"Very nice location, close to town and a short taxi to the train station. Parking was a problem, but we eventually found a spot. The perfect place to stay if you plan to have an all day adventure in Cinque Terre. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was convenient and nice! We had a nice view of the water, although smaller than was advertised."

"Clean room, hotel good proximity to beach. Bit of a walk uphill but OK. Staff friendly & breakfast was adequate although they need to amend the charge from advertised $10 euro to $15 euro on their website!!"

"This clean, mountain top property offered a cool respite from the Lerici crowd. The staff are so welcoming and friendly that you feel right at home. Excellent breakfasts get your day going. I’d recommend the hotel for travelers on a budget who get a very nice place to boot."

"The room was clean, the view was amazing. the location was far from the center so we needed to take the bus everyday. Also there was no phone signals in our rooms."

"Very nice place, 10 min bus ride from the train station. Quiet and peaceful and close to different hiking trails. Antonella makes the best capuchino and the breakfast is prepared fresh every day."

I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting La Spezia, Portovenere or Cinque Terre. Short car drive to catch the ferry or train! House has a beautiful Mountain View, Italian breakfast was amazing, room was comfortable with a very nice bathroom but most importantly, staff was very welcoming and gave us amazing tips as to how to make the most of our short stay in La Spezia. We will be back!

This is a super unique place to stay with an amazing view. The breakfast was definitely a highlight for us along with the staff. There is a beach near the property however it is a long walk and a super steep hill. There are no towels or chairs unless you purchase them. There is also no dinner location so without a car it is challenging to get dinner. There is a bus stop near the property but we ended up transporting via taxi. We were able to get to La Spezia train station and Marina in 15-20...

Albergo Serena is located up in the mountains with ~10 minutes of curvy roads, but the views are spectacular! Their facilities are somewhat new, it's looks like it used to be a house and they added some rooms but well planned. Their staff are friendly and attentive. Breakfast buffet was delicious with pastries, jams, cereals, salami, cheese, and even a make your own waffles machine!!! There's a local restaurant (Giova) located about 300 meters from them that it was awesome! Everything we had...

We booked this room based on the reviews and ratings this B&B received on Expedia. We were not disappointed with our choice. A beautiful location nestled in the hills above La Spezia. It is both a nature retreat and a great strategic location for visiting the Cinque Terre area in Italy. Its quaint but extremely satisfying as it provides a respite from the crowds and noise of the Cinque Terre tourist attraction. Located above La Spezia you have easy access via bus to train station. (We traveled 9 days in Italy during what locals called the "off season" from March 6th to March 17th, 2015). We traveled from the U.S.
88 Miglia was spectacular. The best view in all of La Spezia. The hike to the hotel took us through a nice neighborhood with cool views.
The owners were so nice and welcomed us well. We took the local train to Manarola and Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre area (very close to La Spezia).
We would visit 88 Miglia again!

Very rewarding experience, our only minor complaint is that there were no comfortable chairs in bedrooms, breakfast room or lobby. Staff was great and dinner in restaurant very superior to most hotel food. The town, Vezzano, is tiny and a welcome, charming reapite for the weary traveller.

Great location with gorgeous views and the room had everything we hoped for. The host Daniela was so sweet and welcoming. She is a great resource for figuring out what to see and how to see it. Easy access to cinque terre and the town of La spezia. Outstanding pizzeria right up the hill. Only gripe, make sure to check if the room you are booking has a stand up shower (not just a tub with a spray nozzle).

This was a simple hotel - bed & breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything worked as it should. The sunny terrace in front was great! We also really liked the ample breakfast. The only thing that was a little difficult was finding this hotel with our balky or dysfunctional GPS. Even our local friend had some difficulty locating the street.

This eco-friendly hotel is a hidden gem. The house is comfortable and clean, situated in the mountains. The couple that run the hotel are AMAZING. They were very much on top of supporting our family while we stayed there.
