"Clean, friendly staff, convenient location near train station, good breakfast, but a bit limited amenities, for example we got a welcome bottle of champagne that we could not consume as it was room temperature, and there's no refrigerator in the room, nor ice machine. Breakfast room is a bit small, but works and selection was great. "

"The decore in the rooms is a very special kind of old-fashioned, but absolutely clean and comfortable. My only criticism is that the breakfast buffet is more German than Italian. The coffee was undrinkable - unthinkable for Italy! This was an extremely convenient location for arriving at the train station and leaving on the airport boat. Perfect for us."

"When I asked the hotel how to find it from the water taxi, the instructions started with "walk through the clock tower"...and that's where the fairy tale began. This hotel is tucked away in the gorgeous alleys behind Santo Marco. The setting is stunning, and the customer service at this hotel is top notch. As soon as we stepped inside a valet whisked away our bags, they recommended excellent restaurants steps away, and offered a complimentary private boat tour to Murano (DO THIS!). They remembered us by face every time we stopped to grab our room key. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. They also arranged for a private water taxi back to the train station (this might be the best $50 I ever spent...so much better than tackling the public water taxi with heavy luggage as we did on the way there). 10/10 across the board!"
