"Great location, friendly and very helpful staff, comfortable and clean beds. Sadly though this hotel is tired and desperately needs a full refurbishment. For £185 a night for a twin room you certainly need and expect a better overall standard. Although I might stay here again i woudnt recommend to others"

"This hotel is located in Scarborough town centre. The area around the property looks excellent. Downstairs looked immaculate. They do have a lift. In the restaurant on 15/6 I came down for breakfast all three coffee machines were switched off, they had not been switched on before guests come down for breakfast at 07.00 am. My room was spacious but basic. The bath could have had a clean. There was spare pillows in the wardrobe. Need to invest in some new furniture. Skirting boards needed...

"I stayed at the Wilson for a couple of nights when working in nearby Whitby, a ten minute drive away. Sneaton is a quiet hamlet near to Ruswarp and is very quiet so great for a peaceful night of sleep. The bed at the Wilson was comfortable with clean crisp bedding. "My partner was on crutches & just getting to the hostel was very difficult. We were booked in at a room which she literally could not get to. However, the staff were brilliant & swapped us to a room with easier access. She then phoned Whitby up and organised one of the new tents for us the next night.Both stays were brilliant,as we're the staff.Could not fault them in any way whatsoever. I'm 71,my partner is55,and neither of us can wait to take our next hosteling adventure!"
