"Extremely disappointing experience at the Angel Hotel Cardiff. What should have been an enjoyable stay has turned into an absolute nightmare. We have been completely blocked in the hotel car park due to a rugby match, with no prior warning or communication from the hotel about the situation. The communication from staff has been absolutely shocking, with little to no explanation of what is happening or when we might be able to get our vehicle out. As a result, we have been forced to pay for a...

"Very unique property. Lovely Staff"

"Room was small but very clean. Toiled was too close to the sink. Great location and the staff were great!"

"There was no easy access to the airport by foot. Taxi was ok. Room was clean but very hot. This was easily resolved by turning the radiator off and opening the window. We were misled when booking thinking that the restaurant would be open. We had to order takeaway and wait 2 hours for food. The hotel does not accept cash which seems to be the way everyone is going. Staff were friendly and chatty."

"The staff make this hotel I have stayed there most weeks for work purposes for the past 3 years . Chelsea on reception usually checks me in and goes out of her way to make me feel welcome like getting me green tea or hot chocolate as I don't drink tea or coffee."

"Aways stay here, my go to place when in area"

"This hotel has great staff and plenty of options for food within walking distance My only moan is the rooms that are at the back facing the road get a lot more traffic noise than the front Especially loud motorbikes at 2am going past"

"Walking distance to the bay and town was really good, 10-15 minute flat walk. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The parking on site was a great help. Rooms were a good size, clean and nicely maintained. The toilet was very low! The lift was a problem as it would not go down to ground floor unless someone was on the ground floor wanting to go up."

"Always a warm welcome when I visit this hotel, & the rooms are perfect for my needs. Plenty of hanging space, comfy bed, plenty of work-space, immaculate bathrooms. Can't fault it!"

"Clean room location and breakfast plus parking"

"Room fine. Contact lenses dried out on windowsill. But it’s fine for 1 night. View of stadium good."

"Room was clean and modern and good size for one person……wonderful location close to Cardiff castle and city centre….. beautiful big park close by…..excellent location with the National Express depot 5 minutes away for transfers to London airports or Swansea…. Pub itself and surround on the premises were run down and dated….. needed some money spent to tidy it up…."
