"Kaylee has been very helpful to reassure me about my parking at the hotel, without extra charge, for arriving and parked earlier, than my check-in time. She has also been extremely helpful in sorting out my presentation notes, and able to print out the pages that I needed. I felt that I can relax and prepare my work course very well in advance with my stay at B&B hotel Derby on 25/9/26."
"Arrived on Sunday evening. Had been held up at an engagement but had a table booked during my journey for 20.45. Arrived at the pub/reception at 20.53 (booking line stated I had a 15 minute grace period). Told rather rudely that the kitchen had closed ages ago. I pointed out that I'd booked a table for 20.45 to which the reply was 'well it's now 20.53'. "Stayed four nights, but didn’t get around to using the spa unfortunately. The hotel is nice, and made a change from the chain hotels I normally stay in, but it was about the same price at this time, so why not. Reception staff were nice. Chambermaids were polite and helpful."
"Breakfast was good, our room, the Jane Austen was large and superbly done up. The bathroom was the best I’ve encountered in the UK. The Sunday Roast was delectable."
"Convenient hotel for Loughborough. Right off the M1. Good gym but we didn’t have time to use. Breakfast not bad. Parking spaces were a bit tight. Overall 8.8/10"
"You need to watch out of any events hosted in their 1st floor party hall. The music and base is so loud that we could hear on 3rd floor & base made the wall vibrate. The staff tried to offer us a different room after few complaints but it was 1030pm and didnt want to move out. The party goes on till midnight and my wife having migraine made our experience worse."
"The room was huge with more than enough space for a seating area as well as a dressing table/coffee station. Tea/coffee provided and hairdryer in room. Bathroom was adequate but dated and some of the seating in the bedroom area was ripped and one of the bedside lights didn’t work.
Staff were helpful although it took some time to knowledge us on arrival. They were really helpful when I phoned to make an enquiry prior to arrival.
The accommodation is in an adjacent building to the bar/pub. The...
