"A really great stay, check in was smooth mid afternoon, superior room was fine with a fantastic super king bed and huge bathroom. We had supper in the bar, good food and drinks in a busy pub setting, a nice buzz and big shout out to Lewis and Sam who were so friendly and professional, a great team. Breakfast was really good, again in the bar with plenty of choices cooked to order as well as a small buffet. We will definitely return again!"

"Positives first, we had a family wedding near by and were allowed to check into the room at1pm instead of 4.30pm which was greatly appreciated. There is ample free on site parking and the building from the outside looks very nice.However the property is very dated and in desperate need of renovation."

"The hotel is in a good location in nice surroundings, although the road noise was significant overnight. The hotel in general is tired and the room had a musty mould smell which was overpowering. No one on reception so call a number to get the code to enter, then another code to get the key for your room. Breakfast was packed up and left outside the room door in the morning, but was sufficient and suited me as had to be away early. Would have appreciated better coffee. "

"I was traveling with my very senior parents and staff offered to relocate them to a ground floor room as I'd not thought to request it. Dining doesn't have a ton of options but what you get is exquisite and the service is friendly and attentive."

"A great place to stay. Very quirky and you could tell that the place had a lot of history. Very clean and tidy and beautifully maintained. The only issue we had was the TV did not work well in the room we stayed in (4) as it kept losing the signal and buffering."

"This was my second time to Penrhos and this is rapidly becoming one of my favourite places to stay. The level of finish in the accommodation is exceptional and the attention to detail such as board games, items in the kitchen and basic supplies such as milk and butter are lovely touches. There is loads of space in Lodge 7 and it is my favourite lodge out of the 2 I’ve stayed in so far. Friday night we went for a meal in the cattle shed. "We had a lovely 2 night stay at the Larches. Inge, Malcolm and Morag made us feel very welcomed. A hot drink and cake on arrival, and great breakfasts too. The Larches is a fabulous house in beautiful grounds, a short drive from some great local pubs and outdoor activities. Would thoroughly recommend."
