"Hotel is very dated, carpets in corridors smelt bad, needs a good hoover, bathroom needs a refresh, bath rusty, very old tv,didn't get a wink of sleep as could hear water running,I won't be staying again unfortunately"
"The room was lovely and the offer of a free drink in the bar in exchange for no housekeeping is clever. Such a good idea.
Unfortunately the wedding in the hotel on Saturday night dominated all the communal areas of the hotel which meant that we couldn’t have the nightcap in the bar we were hoping for, as well as there being the thumping of the music from the wedding in our room until well after 11pm. Had we known yet the bar area would be pretty much out of action to other guests we might have...
"So disappointed - avoid this establishment until something changes!
We arrived just before 8pm and went straight to check in and have dinner in the restaurant, we were informed that the kitchen was busy and there would be a wait, which was fine, however 90mins later we still had no food and when it did come out it was lukewarm and three out of seven meals were missing something. "The sea view room was great! Would recommend. Breakfast is an amazing selection! Staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s approx 15-20 scenic min walk into centre of Torquay."
"Room was clean, lift didn’t get swept in the 5 nights I was there and had a lot of dried mud in it. I extended by a couple of nights because my friends were still there and reception man wasn’t very helpful. Had to do it online, even though I would have had an alumni discount if I did it at the desk. The map is entirely unhelpful for the parking if you don’t know your way around campus. They could do with adding more details to it to help people. I bumped into someone lost in the dark in the...
"Lovely hotel by the sea
We stayed at the Langstone Cliff hotel before a concert at Powderham castle. We arrived early afternoon and decided to have lunch on the terrace overlooking the sea. Lunch was lovely and the drinks were cold. Having parasol’s kept us cool on a very hot day. Our room was lovely, quite small but had everything we needed and the air con was an added bonus. The travel to Powderham was easy and relatively quick with only a short walk to the station and then about a 15 minute...
"The staff are very helpful, and polite, nothing is too much trouble the hotel is very clean, beds are very comfortable, rooms cleaned daily it was all very good couldn't fault anything"
