"Absolutely loved this stay. What started as a stressful day with flight cancellations turned into a happy surprise thanks to this hotel, and the team were so polite, friendly and genuinely welcoming. The room was huge and spacious, with a super comfortable bed and a peaceful, quiet atmosphere – everything worked perfectly, which made it really easy to relax. The gardens are gorgeous and beautifully kept, adding a lovely, calm vibe every time you step outside. Breakfast was included in my room rate and it was fantastic – hearty options, really tasty and such good value that it felt like a little bonus treat to start the day. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and happily recommend it to anyone visiting Dunedin."

"The lodge was such an incredible place to stay! It was very beautiful and the staff was incredible. The free breakfast in the morning was to die for and the staff there was very accommodating and gave me an extra meal for the next day, since I had to leave early and wouldn’t have been able to make breakfast on the morning I was checking out. I also did the dinner in the castle and it was super cool! My room was a corner room, so I had a balcony that overlooked the garden, as well as the ocean, which was amazing, especially at sunrise. Overall, I highly recommend staying at the lodge, as it was well worth my time and money. Just be aware that it’s not near any stores, so be prepared for that, especially if you don’t have a rental car. And plan any Ubers in advance. "
