"Its a contactless hotel meaming you get an entry code around an hour prior to arrival. We didn't get this and despite using contact details for the hotel we got no response. When we contacted hotels.com they managed to get us sorted and someone contacted us and apologised. I admit we got a free suite upgrade, however when we went to leave our room the keypad lock wouldn't stop the door from just opening so in theory anyone could walk in. We then called the dedicated number and maintenance did...

"Expectations were high with a score of 9.2 but I was disappointed. Room a bit pokey, very odd matress & bedding, terrible shower. Decor throughout a bit tired. Residents bar very limited and nothing on draught. Breakfast was ok. On the plus side, staff were all very nice, location is quiet with a nice park opposite and there's enough parking. I'd stay again if in Girvan but can't say I'd look forward to it."
