"Lovely old manor house but due to the late arrival and being dark could not enjoy what would have been a really nice garden and surrounding area. Good food in the restaurant, though £4.50 for a bottle of still water seemed excessive but everything else was good. Polite friendly staff, and would stay there again and hopefully enjoy the grounds and gardens next time."

"We stopped here for a weekend and were generally very pleased with it. Clean, comfortable, great staff and service and good food. Our only conolaint was that the room we stayed in was very small for a family of three and only had a shower in the bathroom so i couldn't give our little one a bath, and it was a struggle having two people in the bathroom to wash her."

Staff has a tough job keeping the street traffic out of their private, residence only garden and it was a bit hard to enjoy a quiet afternoon with so many day-visiting tourists walking around us. "This was truly an “Pub with and Inn” experience. The Cat in the Custard is the hub of this small Cotswold village, so we felt like travelers in time. Our room was in the eaves and very tiny so we moved to a larger one - both were lovely. The food is very good, and the breakfast hot and plentiful. "
