Hotel had an excellent restaurant with an extensive menu. Check-in with Sharon was very friendly and smooth. She was good people skills and made us very welcome. I personally had a little issue with my food, but it was resolved with a free drink. I Would stay here again, just need to be aware of those sneaky extras!"

"This is a beautiful hotel and we enjoyed our 2 night stay, although I did have a couple of small issues. One was that the refrigerator didn’t work, and when I reported it to the front desk clerk, she simply replied “they don’t”. Why have refrigerators that don’t work. Also the lighting is not very good. I felt like I was trying to put on makeup in the dark. Downtown is not really within walking distance either. "

"I think the suites could be more of a suite rather than a larger standard room. I have stayed here for many years and usually choose a standard room. On this occasion i decided to pay extra for a suite. It was literally a larger room with a settee in it. I would have expected a few little luxuries (i.e bottle of water, laundry bag, a fan - due to the heat in the room, a larger T.V)."

"Beautiful place. We loved the fact that it's 799 years old, thinking about all the people that have come and gone before us enjoying the same space. Pretty grounds right on the river Dee. Old cemetery and remains of a chapel right behind for exploring. Natural beauty all around. Staff was welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a suite and everything met our expectations. Will definitely stay again. Also love that they have a vegan menu in their restaurant! 🌱💚"

"Our twin room was spacious and nicely decorated. Plenty of options for dining in and our beef stroganoff was wonderfully tender. Only downsides were the narrow staircase to the top floor (no lift available), and the very narrow driveway to the car park at the back of the property."
