The hotel wasn't overly busy during our stay so we were upgraded to a canal view room. the bed was comfortable, the room clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. The only thing we had an issue with, which probably isn't the hotel's fault but the way they do things in Europe, is one night our room was too cold for our comfort and they told us they couldn't change the thermostat because they were on summer mode. ...

"We had planned to stay four nights but left after two because of lousy service and bad location. We had paid more than $1,000 in advance to stay at this place and thought it would not be too much to ask to have coffee brought up to the room in the morning (since there was no coffee maker).
