It is close to the Kennet and Avon canal, Sydney Gardens and it’s a pleasant walk into city along Great Pulteney Street and over Pulteney Bridge. Unlike most city centre hotels it does have a car park. "

"First rate hotel with a unique experience in being able to enjoy the “waters” of Bath within the hotel. Very conveniently located. The air conditioning in the room did not sufficiently cool the room on the 22C days we were there, but the windows opened, which helped."

"All the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. The spa area was very convenient and well maintained. We ate in the Pantry several times and the food was delicious. A variety of cocktails and mocktails were also on offer. The garden area is beautiful and has lots of available lawn games. Overall, the hotel provides a wonderfully relaxing experience."

"A Hidden Gem of a Hotel. Staff Are All very Friendly and made us Feel very Welcome. Food is First Class. Grounds are very well Manicured. Excellent base for Visiting Bristol, but you will need a Car as Hotel is off the Beaten track."

"It is a beautiful luxurious hotel with a superb spa. Rooms were nice and bedding very comfortable. Grey's restaurant food is average and very limited choice and overhyped but breakfast was excellent. The biggest surprise on checking out was that they charged 10% service charge on the whole bill including the room charge that was prepaid on Hotels.com. There was no warning and left a bitter taste. "The bedrooms have good facilities which adds to comfort, ie comfortable bed, Roberts radio, iron and ironing board, cafetière for your coffee as well as choice of teas. Large bathroom with good shower which was powerful and hot. We had dinner at the hotel and even though the food was okay, the service was slow. The staff were very apologetic but there were large parties in for dining and there are not enough waiting staff to cope."

"Lovely pub with comfortable room. Friendly staff and nice beer. I was greeted with a warm welcome and escorted to my room. Tea/coffee making facilities were present and fresh milk available on request in the bar. I only had breakfast once but it was tasty and well presented. "
