"This hotel met our needs - clean and pleasant rooms, good beds, good breakfast buffet, helpful staff. We were not pleased with the coffee service, nor did we find the lack of parking near by the hotel helpful. We were especially pleased with the assistance the front desk staff offered us around our very early departure and treansportation to the airport."

It is located very close to Calheta sandy beach. It is highly recommended if you would like to have a calm and picturesque stay in one of the most beautiful hotels in Madeira. "Big hotel. Big rooms. Great pools. Modern, with conference style feel. Remarkable buffet, no need to go up the road and pay extra. Chocolate fountain on two nights. No decaff tea - go next door to the cliff after dinner for that. VidaMar suited us as a great base (we didn’t rent a car), we used bus or booked trips. The ‘west’ jeep discovery tour is a must. Plus all the other go-to places. Walk to Camera de Lobos and get the bus back. Madeira exceeded our expectations. "
