"Checking into the property was simple and good instructions were given. The property itself was great. It was spacious, had great amenities like a projector, a spacious bathroom, and even laundry in the apartment. One huge issue we (and our neighbors as well) had was that the advertised hot tub was empty and couldn't be used. This is a huge issue and false advertising that should be addressed by VRBO. The automated messages from the host made it seem like the hot tub was available and working....

Hotel Lomas del Volcán

8/10 Good

"We were a group of 20 people with family & kids arriving in big size coach bus. We all enjoyed our stay here. Staffs were so-friendly, quicker service, and very helpful to bring our bags to the rooms. Breakfast was AWESOME as they had so many varieties and tasty foods. Huge property where each rooms are separated like cabins. Most activities are within driving distance. Only two not-so-negative comments(I gave direct feedback to them) (1) We felt the room we stayed was little dark even after turning on all lights in nights. Hope they add more lighting fixtures to illuminate the room more bright as needed - especially when all sunshades are closed. (2) NO SELF-laundry option available. This was our only disappointment. Of course they have "laundry as service" but toooo costly we felt. We had to drive to an outside commercial laundry facility to wash our cloths and that too again costly (35$ for 7 kg of wet cloths) but much cheaper compared the hotel's "laundry as service". Hope they had SELF-Laundry service in future like other properties. Overall great stay and happy to stay here again."

"We love coming to Las Lagos! Every detail from the spacious rooms, to the array of hot springs, to the spa, to the restaurant is top of the line. The breakfast buffet is a feast with a delightful selection of fruit, great coffee and pretty much anything your heart could desire for breakfast! You have to try the mint lemonade!"

"This resort is amazing and the staff is great. My only complaint is that the bathroom in the room has a permanently open small window. This makes the bathroom extremely humid and uncomfortable. You have to keep the bathroom door closed so that the room does not feel the same."

"This is in a gorgeous setting with the Arenal volcano always very visible. The breakfast buffet each morning was tasty. The grounds were well maintained and were quiet in the evenings, which was great for relaxing and sleeping. The restaurant and bar staff were pleasant. We enjoyed the thermal pools but several were empty."

"This was our first time traveling to Costa Rica and I’m glad we chose this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. AC worked well! Parking is in front of the hotel. We paid extra for the breakfast and it was delicious. We were also able to exchange a small amount cash USD at the front desk which was convenient. There are a few restaurants walking distance away that were also wonderful!"

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning surroundings. The resort is beautifully integrated into the rainforest, offering a peaceful and luxurious escape where nature and comfort exist in perfect harmony. Every morning brought the sounds of tropical birds and wildlife, making it feel as though we were living in the heart of the forest. Our room was exceptional—spacious, beautifully appointed and immaculately maintained. Every amenity had been thoughtfully considered, creating a perfect balance of luxury and comfort. The private hot tub was an absolute highlight. Relaxing in the warm water while surrounded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest was an experience we'll never forget. The food throughout our stay was outstanding. Every meal was beautifully presented, bursting with fresh local flavours and prepared to an exceptionally high standard. Whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, each dish reflected the passion and care of the talented culinary team. What truly sets Noah's Forest apart, however, is its people.
