"We had a wonderful stay at Stanwell House Hotel. The staff are excellent, every member of the team was incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in Room 32, which was perfectly cosy with a very comfortable bed and offered lovely views. The breakfast was great—high quality and plenty of choice. My only minor note is that drinks can be quite expensive at the bar. Highly recommended for a boutique stay in Lymington!"

"I couldn't get in to the property. I arrived at around 7pm and put the code into the door lock and turned the handle only to find that the door was also locked with another lock I phoned the contact number on the booking confirmation only to find it was an office and nobody was there, so I left a message, I never had a reply. "The room was a good size and very clean. There was no hairdryer but luckily I had packed my own. I slept very well and it generally was a quiet relaxing place to be."

"We had a large ground floor room close to the lift. We had a great sea view. The room had a large double bed, and a second area had a sofa which was made up into a small double be. There were towels and toiletries in the bathroom. There was an iron in the room, a fan hair drier and TV. The room also had a kettle, and tea/coffee making facilities. WIFI was good. The man at reception gave us information, and having read previous reviews we knew that we would have to use its sister hotel next door, for food, drinks and we were also able to use the pool and spa. Car park cost £20.00 but you can park for less on the road outside of the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel looks shabby outside but you don't sleep outside! Yes its a little dated inside, but you cannot complain for what you are paying. We had breakfast in the hotel next door, and it was quite nice there. The pool was lovely, and the gentleman behind the bar was really great, this was the evening of 5/07. He was so helpful, an absolute asset to the Carlton! We had no issues in the East Cliff. If you want a 5 star hotel then go elsewhere and pay a 5 star price. We had absolutely no complaints. Not sure though I would pay a higher price though, we had a fab deal through Expedia for two rooms. It cost less than the usual price of one room"

"Staff very helpful, friendly and approachable. Room was reasonably comfortable and tucked away in a quiet corner on the ground floor. Beds very clean and comfortable. Room was clean, roomy and stocked with tea and coffee. Bathroom was clean, spacy and had a small amount of shower gel, soap and 2 in 1 shampoo & conditioner. Bathroom required a touch of maintenance with the bathroom door scraping the floor on opening & closing it. Shower was reasonably powerful. A nice bar and lots of seating. Restaurant food was good quality with some nice options. Breakfast good with the normal options of full breakfast, cereal, yogurts, toast and pastries."
