"Our experience was perplexing from the start, with directions so inadequate that we had to ask the way. When we arrived I was attacked by geese at large in the grounds. Despite profuse apologies from the owner's wife, and the geese then confined to a wired pen, the owner said he wouldn't be lectured, walking away when I offered some advice on the facilities. "Amazing Hotel. Reception staff very professional friendly and helpful. Excellent check-in experience. Hotel is lovely inside and great facilities. There was an event on the evening we arrived and the hotel was full. We were given a room on the road / motorway side and were we concerned about noise from inside and from the road but we couldn’t hear a thing. Double glazed windows plus secondary glazing was very effective. The air con was effective. The room was lovely. We will definitely be going back to this hotel. Highly recommended."

"This hotel provided me with a fantastically located place to stay whilst attending a nearby wedding. Situated within a gorgeous looking building the hotel makes use of its period features without giving a dated impression. The room I stayed in was spotless and had everything I needed to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Being in the city centre was also another major positive as it meant I could arrive into Hereford by train and walk to the hotel. Hotel staff were also unendingly polite and facilitated a frictionless check-in despite the time of night I got there. I would 100% stay here again if I find myself in need of a hotel room in Hereford."

"We had the Elgar suite which was large with a huge bed tub chairs tv complimentary drinks. The bathroom had a bath with shower over. Check in very quick .Staff very friendly . The buffet breakfast was lovely with big choice. The cooked breakfast was extremely good. We stayed two nights and really pleased with room and service we will visit again."
