I can’t put into words how fantastic this stay was. The hosts were brilliant, were ready and waiting when we arrived with the fire lit for us. They showed us how the hot tub works (fabulous) and said to contact them if we needed anything. The cottage itself had anything you could want, plenty of things to cook with, lovely quirky old features - the place was immaculately clean. It was honestly beautiful, couldn’t have hoped for a better stay and we will 100% be back. Thank you so much
Those three words summarise exactly what you can expect from this stay. It was so lovely to completely switch off from the rest of the world. Highly recommend if that's what you're looking for.
If you can make time to leave the incredible view and hot tub. It’s worthwhile spending some time walking locally. Alston is fantastic, cool off in the river on a hot day or explore the village cafes and pubs on a cooler one. Walk through the tall grass to the footpath in the valley. Follow the footpath up river. You’ll reach a waterfall about 1.5-2km away. Lots of places to see locally and some treasures to be found.
My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights. Eddie the host is a wonderful man and couldn’t have been more helpful arranging balloons for my partners birthday, leaving us a lovely bottle of Prosecco, showing us how to use the fire etc. The cottage is in the most wonderful of locations, very secluded from other people. The views were breathtaking, especially from the hot tub of an evening looking at the stars. The cottage is immaculate and very well equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfy. You can cook in the fire and there is also an actifry, ring hob and microwave. We can’t wait to come back already. Perfect hosts and stay. 100% recommend you book. If you read the visitors book you will see people stay time and time again, it’s very telling of how perfect the break is. Enjoy!

Just what we needed!
For someone not knowing what to expect from glamping, I was very impressed by this cosy little cottage! Prepared to go back any time. The owner was friendly and helpful and brought a good start to a great weekend! The bed was comfy, the hot tub was lovely and the downstairs living space had everything you could possibly need! It has given me a perfect beginner's taste of glamping so I have discovered a new hobby!
