"The Chateau Colbert has been extensively restored over the past 20 years or so to a very high standard. This has obviously been a labour of love for the present owners. The rooms are very comfortable and the views over the river and forests were outstanding. The food and service were exceptional and the dining room was a wonderful place to eat. They have the largest Japanese garden in Europe which we definitely return to see. The Chateau is highly recommended."

"Very cosy appartement centrally in Saumur, close to shops, attractions and restaurants. Sited close to the Loire, there are plenty of things to do without a car, but the owners provided a safe parking space in a locked courtyard. Aliona and Benoît were wonderful hosts."

"Newly decorated and very clean. Friendly welcome, wet room and wide doorways,would be very suitable for disabled travellers. Comfortable beds. Kettle and drink making in room. Lovely breakfast. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Parking on site. During the daytime there is renovation going on in property beside the reception, but that was not an issue for us."
