"The apartment hotel is a new building in a suburban residential area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a good restaurant called Brothers nearby which serves gyros and other Greek meals and is frequented by locals. There is a mini mart and a couple of bakeries as well on the same street. There is ample street parking so it is a good location for those renting vehicles to explore Crete. We visited Knossos and Matala Beach but did not have time to visit the Old Town of Heraklion. "An exquisitely designed property in a charming town, near Heraklion. Although it's no fault of the hotel, GPS programs insist on directing you on tiny, steep lanes to bring you to and take you from the property. Highly recommended to not rely on GPS apps. This offers small town flavor near to Heraklion with plenty of tourist sites nearby, including Knossos. Breakfast was great. We had a few pre-season hiccups which the staff endeavored to solve. "Hotel Emi was lovely, right on the beach just a few kilometres north of Heraklion. The bed was comfy, breakfast really nice. The manager/owner was very helpful. We enjoyed our two night stay."

"This is a truly special property. Fantastic service, beautiful accommodations and a 3 minutes walk(downhill) to the beach. My only concern is that I booked and paid for a superior suite and was given a smaller room than I paid for. The room was enough space so I didn’t complain but I would have preferred to be informed and compensated for the smaller room. "

"Highly recommend this lovely family run hotel in a quiet location outside rethymno. Beach is down the road. The entire staff/family was warm, welcoming and professional. All our needs were addressed with joy and compassion. The hosts offered detailed advice about all the great places to visit. My husband had a health issue and we were pointed to the best clinic. As well, due to the issue, extra care was taken in our room. Truly a gem of a small hotel!"
