"Hotel Academie as the name suggests was indeed an academy in the 14th century. The hotel has been remodeled Beautifully to keep the spiral staircase and the landings with a few steps to each room. Each floor must have 4 rooms. They are very rustic and finished with a grandeur look to it. We had booked a suite and each room had its own bath and toilet; amenities included 2 TVs , an armoire in the 2nd bedroom and desks for each bedroom. "We enjoyed our 2-night stay at the Adagio. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, and the location was okay for what we had planned. We had two rooms and were able to use the breakfast area in the evening to eat a meal together that we had prepared in one of our kitchens. The reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because we had to carry our heavy luggage up a flight of stairs from the parking garage (which was not free). "The room was very spacious and had excellent air conditioning. The shower was appropriate sized (vs those tiny tube sized showers in most of Europe). We did not hear others around us and slept well. We took advantage of the valet parking and truly appreciated that. We were able to easily walk and venture into Lyon from the location and felt very safe in our surroundings. The pillows were incredibly flat so I recommend asking for more. Easy fix"
