"Best hotel we've ever stayed in and we've been to Nerja ten times. Room cleaned everyday, hotel was spotless, lovely staff that go out of their way to greet staff eveytime you enter the hotel. They even arranged taxi to airport. Driver met us at reception, took our cases and escorted us to carpark for €80. After staying at Hotel Balcon wouldnt stay anywhere else!"

They stayed completely separate downstairs, and left you to your own devices. Downside would be the 2 shared bathrooms, although you hardly notice that other people are staying there and using them, and they were cleaned multiple times a day. "Loved every minute of my stay from check in to check out. It was like stepping back in time to old style Spanish hospitality. Staff addressed us by name from the moment we arrived and couldn’t do enough to help and make us feel welcome. The owner, Mercedes was always on hand and the staff Miguel and Nando remembered the little things, such as what we drank.
Rooms spotlessly cleaned every day and the sea view was beautiful. "
"Be careful before you book about the check - in and check - out time because it is very unusual which is 4pm and 10am, when you are inn make sure to lock the door from inside as maybe the owner open the door and invade your privacy, plus is not sure to find place at the parking, plus the AC water drips inside the bedroom, and finally we asked to have queen or king bed and we got 2 small twins beds on wheels which kept moving all night. "My daughter had private hurdles class at the stadium and this hotel is literally across the street. Very convenient.
It’s also very walkable to the beaches and restaurants. There’s Mercado on Friday and Wednesday. A big Lidl, Aldi and Mercadona in walking distance.

The staff is incredibly helpful and willing to please you with answers about any concerns or curiosities you have for the town and close areas. The location is perfect. Cleanliness is spotless. The room was ample and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with abundant and many cold or hot choices.
We regret we could not stay more days and enjoy this gem of a hotel in Almunecar. Excellent!"
"Despite bad weather we had a good stay. We stay here regularily out of season for the warm indoor pool and big jacuzzi.
The food is not as good as it used to be but is acceptable. Breakfast is good.
We always stay in a suite nowadays. Furnishings tired but if the rooms were improved im sure the prices would shoot up. A 'spanish family' style, friendly, welcoming hotel. Always same staff.
