"I stayed here for three nights. The first two nights were great, and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, my last night raised serious safety concerns for my family. I had to wake up early the next morning for a six-hour drive to Manuel Antonio, but around 1:00 AM, the unit next to ours started playing extremely loud music. A visibly intoxicated couple was yelling and screaming with no regard for others. I attempted to call the front desk multiple times, but there was no answer. After about 30 minutes, I open the door and yelled out if they can turn it down.. Unfortunately, another 30 minutes passed with no change. I tried calling the front desk again, as well as the emergency line, which shockingly went straight to voicemail. Around 3:00 AM, I approached the unit again, and the situation escalated. The individual became aggressive and attempted to provoke a confrontation. This only made things worse, as the noise continued even louder afterward until 5A. At that point, I felt completely helpless not only unable to get any rest, but also genuinely concerned for the safety of my wife and children. While the property itself has potential, the lack of responsive staff and proper security during a situation like this is unacceptable. I would strongly recommend considering other resorts, especially if safety and support during emergencies are important to you."

"The setting is absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed the pools and access to the river. I saw there was laundry service available but we didn't use it. "

"Breakfast was great - lots of variety. Staff was friendly. The room was comfortable but the shower was a bit of a challenge. Scalding hot or too cool but a minor inconvenience. Close to town to enjoy a variety of restaurants and bars but far enough away for quiet evenings."

"The stay was a highlight of COSTA RICA travel. This property gives you a chance to enjoy the combination of a wonderful hotel stay (with breakfast included) and hot springs. Take time and enjoy hot springs in combination with cold water swimming pools. You can spend 2-3 hours in the evening, and same time in the morning just after your breakfast. "

"Wow, a very beautiful cabin. The hot tub was definitely a highlight. The host is very fast at responding requests. There were some issues but all fixed fairly quickly. The only downside is the small bugs and ants, but it is expected since this is countryside. Do not leave any food outside overnight. "

"Wow, just wow! This hotel exceeded my expectations. Grounds are gorgeous! The sound of the river and the rainforest while lounging in the pools felt like heaven. The pool area is beautiful. The restraunt and staff top notch. El Salto swing a 5 minute walk away. This is where you want to stay. We will be back. "

"This place is even bigger than the pictures make it look! The kitchen and bar are on the first floor. Plus, the river flows right along the property, just a few steps away, which makes for some amazing, peaceful sleeping with the sounds of the river and nature.We were so happy to have a washer and dryer, especially since we ended up doing laundry every day.The directions the host sent were spot-on. They were easy to follow and helped us get the keys quickly. We use Google Maps to find the place.The showers were huge, with great water pressure and hot water.The property was in a fantastic spot. It was far enough from town that we felt like we were in the country, living in a treehouse, but close enough that we didn’t have to worry about driving back if we forgot something.The host was super responsive if we had any questions or concerns.I’d definitely stay here again if we ever come back to La Fortuna."
