"My wife and I had long fantasized about booking a villa in Tuscany and bringing our whole family for a gathering. This place was beyond our wildest dreams. The listing was a little inaccurate in that there was more space than advertised. We had as many as 25 family and friends there at one time and never felt crowded with five separate apartments and 11 bedrooms. We wanted ambiance of a time gone by and this place delivered. Flaviano, the host, has put so much style and love into this place. He was super helpful, always friendly, and very responsive when there was a problem. The grounds were impeccable, the pool sparkling clean and the large lawn was perfect for our kids and grandkids. The location was perfect with a short walk to shops, gelato, a pizzeria and a world class restaurant. We loved the outdoor dining table that was big enough for our group. The taverna was a good hangout and place for us to dine on a few cool nights. Flaviano threw a pizza party for us and we had to force him to stop making pizzas. The only negative for us was the lack of good quality kitchen utensils as most of the family love to cook. Otherwise, a great place for a large group to stay. We loved the fact that Pieve is relatively untouristed and we were the only tourists in town. I can not recommend this place highly enough. Thank you Flaviano and Tuscan Retreats."

"This is a wonderful character property with amazing views and a lovely pool. It’s well equipped although we struggled a little with water pressure and hot water. Daniella who caretakers the property was always helpful and even made us some delicious Italian food on our last evening! We hope to return again as we liked it so much!"

"Le Lunghe beat all imaginable expectations: the house is wonderfully functional with dishwasher, washer and dryer and everything else you would need for a perfect stay. I can't even begin to describe the view from the property, it's simply amazing and we had it all to ourselves. The peace and quiet of the area was beyond expectation, we spent a whole month there and couldn't be happier. Giancarlo not only checked in on us to make sure everything was perfect, he became our family in that short time. We will miss Le Lunghe and Giancarlo dearly and will be back next year! The owners were very friendly and Marie the coordinator was amazing. Our wedding dinner was made by the owner and it was so delicious. "Being the first time we spent significant time in the Italian Alpines, our stay exceeded our expectations. The area and views from the property are beautiful and lend themselves to relaxing, peaceful days. The house is about an hour from major cities and the shore, so a bit out of the way if you want tour every day. The house is spacious and has plenty of room for two families with kids. There is plenty of space for the kids to play and romp and the pool will keep them busy for many hours. The house is adequately supplied and all the utilities worked well. Enrico was a gracious host bringing us local cheeses, breads, and recommending great restaurants in the area. A very relaxing, easy going Tuscan vacation."

"First let me say that the property exceeded our very high expectations…. The pictures don’t do this villa justice. The Mountain View’s from the infinity pool were breathtaking. The wine yard below the pool was a bonus. Olive trees were above the pool area making you feel you are in Italy. This villa is totally secluded, can’t see any neighbors, extremely private for guests. The villa is super clean and modern with all the conveniences. Fully stocked kitchen with all the portable appliances you could ever need. The bedrooms were spacious and spread out and private. The bathrooms were modern and showers had hot water aplenty. The internet was fast and reliable. Flat panel TV’s were great and had some English channels. The living room was very spacious and the couches were comfy. Take advantage of the private chef that we’re made available for hire. 4 course meal with wine at each course!!! The parking was inside locked gate. We fit 3 vehicles inside comfortably. Loretta (the Houses in Tuscany representative ) came by after arrival and on last day. Great information made available of surrounding area. We will be back . Highly recommend!!"
