Even though next to the owners house, the lodge orientated to be nicely private with barely another property in sight. It contained everything needed for a comfortable stay and the bed is big enough to party in (also good for sleeping). The two friendly spaniels peering through the window to say hello were a bonus too."

Although the main road is busy, the double glazed windows worked a treat. Spacious bathroom but don't dawdle in the shower if someone else is planning to have one. Cosy place to stay for access to all of the central Cotswolds."

"If this was my local pub, I’d be happy - lovely staff, friendly clientele, a fine dog and the food is acceptable ‘pub grub’ however.... the stay in ‘family room’ was not good. The room was upstairs in the pub and initially no key supplied as ‘nobody goes up here’. The room was akin to a store room with a couple of beds chucked in. There was an oversized old armchair blocking a chunk of room and a huge wardrobe which you couldn’t use as it was stuffed with Christmas decorations and a skeleton...
