"Diamond Ridge is a gem - just as advertised. The hosts have put together a wonderful, clean/neat, well-appointed cabin that feels like home, not like a rental. It was the ideal setting for our family group and we enjoyed how the large living/dining/kitchen space allowed us to comfortably gather together.The common spaces are lovely, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is fully outfitted. We enjoyed sunrises on the wrap around deck and the game room kept us entertained in the evening. Communication with the hosts was good and they were very responsive. Prior to check-in they provided lots of local info about activities, restaurants, etc. and they had a thorough reference "House Book" on site."

"Such a great house! It was the perfect meeting place for a cousins reunion. The setting was so peaceful and the house had everything we needed. I would highly recommend! We saw a momma bear and her two cubs several times during our visit. Our host provided us with the perfect getaway!"

"I had such a beautiful stay at Mary Ida’s! This beautiful tiny home was clean, comfy, and had absolutely everything I needed for a relaxing weekend. The hosts were amazing and very quick to respond to any questions I had.Waiting for me on the kitchen counter was a little goodie basket with fresh homemade banana nut bread and other yummy treats that I definitely enjoyed! The fridge was stocked with fresh local eggs, butter, half-and-half for my coffee, and a couple bottles of water. Coffee was provided too, and I absolutely loved sitting on the front porch in the mornings with my coffee and scrambled eggs.Even though my main reason for the trip was to attend the Bigfoot Festival right down the road in Marion, my favorite part of my stay ended up being exploring the local spots and making new friends. Old Fort is such a friendly little town, and Mary Ida’s truly felt like a home away from home.I can’t wait to plan my next trip back!"

"Cute house in the perfect location for us specifically as it was close to family. Very clean and as advertised, well stocked, although we only really used the house to sleep. We did have some inconveniences but will preface these items to say the host was very communicative and proactive. The AC was not working in the downstairs area when we checked in and had to wait for the AC to be repaired the next morning. Then the wifi wasn’t working and we figured out halfway through our stay, there was an additional router behind the tv stand that had gotten unplugged. Despite the minor issues, we would definitely stay here again!"

"Beautiful property with many conveniences of home and absolutely pristine clean facilities. Property is delightful and quiet, a wonderful place to call home while enjoying the winding roads and mountains all around. The only caution I offer is that the fold out bed is probably not suitable for anyone too tall. My husband and I are 5”9’ and 5”8’ respectively and we were quite comfy, but there would not be much more room in the sleeping area for more height. We had a marvelous motorcycle long weekend! Thank you Connie!!"
