"Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....

"Our Second Annual Sibling Retreat was truly one for the memory books! This beautiful cabin was the perfect place for us to reconnect, relax, laugh, and make wonderful memories together.The cabin was spotless, spacious, beautifully appointed, and had breathtaking mountain views. We loved hiking right from the property to David Falls and Catawba’s Upper and Lower Falls, playing cornhole and ladder ball, and spending hours together around the amazing gathering space. We also enjoyed exploring the corn maze and downtown Black Mountain.From the cozy fireplace to the gas fire pit, every detail made us feel right at home. It was everything we could have hoped for in a sibling getaway!Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return!"

"Spacious home with a lovely view. An easy drive up paved roads to reach the property. Comfortable seating area on both floors. If you enjoy eating in, you’ll love the kitchen which is stocked with nice quality cooking supplies. If you prefer eating out, a quick trip to Old Fort or slightly longer drive to Black Mountain gave us some nice options for lunch, cocktails, and dinner."

"Our family with grown children and a grandchild stayed in this beautiful, spacious home secluded in the mountains. With three levels, everyone had plenty of space to spread out with multiple seating areas. The host even provided a travel crib. We enjoyed sitting around the porch fire pit in the late afternoons. One evening, we were gathered around the outdoor fire pit for smores. One afternoon, we saw a mother bear and two cubs come up to the car port area! (We watched them from inside the house.) Being surrounded by the beautiful natural landscape of the mountains was very relaxing. Our grown children really enjoyed using the sauna as well as the hot tub. There is also a large game room as well. Something for everyone of all ages in the house! I would highly recommend this place in the mountains."
