Karl Johan Hotel

"We had a very good stay at Karl Johan Hotel in Oslo. The location is excellent—right in the heart of the city on Karl Johans gate and within easy walking distance of many of Oslo’s main attractions, restaurants, shopping, and the waterfront. The service was very good, and the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable, and has a lot of character. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The combination of the fantastic location, comfortable accommodations, and good service made it a great choice for visiting Oslo. We would definitely recommend Karl Johan Hotel and would happily stay here again."

"The hotel is beautiful, and very close to the historic part of Oslo. I travelled solo and was able to get a room with a single twin bed. It was great not to have to pay for a bigger room than needed. There are many ways to travel from the airport to the hotel, I recommend the train, but there is also a bus stop right outside. The only down side to my room was the tram, which was pretty noisy at night but no problem with ear plugs. As an older traveller, safety is an important issue. I was very happy with the security. Breakfast was not included in my package, and was quite expensive. But the buffet is one of the best I've ever seen and the dining/lounging areas are beautiful. So I always looked forward to breakfast! Free coffee is available around the clock, and there are snacks for purchase. The small bar offers cocktails, and they are delicious. Staff was always accommodating and very professional. This hotel is a hidden gem, I can highly recommend."
