"Excellent place to stay when visiting UConn. Restaurant next door. Plenty of parking. Very roomy and clean rooms. Breakfast. Snacks and soda to purchase. The room and furnishings are dated and there were no USB ports in the room. However, safety and cleanliness are the priorities and this place filled the bill. I will definitely stay again. "

"I like the big rooms here, it’s nice to have a refrigerator and microwave when traveling on business too. The room was again very clean and comfortable. The staff is nice, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The WiFi and television are good for work and entertainment. Parking is ample. It’s a great location for access to highways and shopping and restaurants. Rates are a good value for this small business traveler. And I always feel safe here with lots of cameras and staff as a woman business traveler."

"Set on a dead end in Ashford, CT this property is at an advantage for everything. The area is dark in all the right places and the road is a dead end. The Ashford is also set in prime leaf peeping county and has a nice walking spot. (If that’s your thing) The staff is a lovely local couple who will help you with patience and guidance. They were super patient with every question I asked. Ashford has many features and many ways to enjoy the outdoors, including the Nipmuck Trail as well as several preserves managed by Joshua's Trust. Notable properties in town include The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation, and Eastern Connecticut State University's Church Farm Center for the Arts and Sciences. I stay at a lot of Hotels and twenty out of ten recommend the Ashford Motel. "
